Singapore will celebrate the bicentenary of Sir Stamford Raffles landing in Singapore in 1819. As a consequence of the landing, Singapore became a British Colony (as part of the federated states of Malaya).
There was an interesting exhibition in the National Gallery of Singapore. This painting is actually in colour but I made it in B & W and painted over QEII.
If you like South East Asian art, I would high recommend the National Gallery of Singapore.
If you take a walk in Singapore, sooner or later, you will find frangipani. Not only in pink but in other colours.
This is a closeup shot taken in Cloud Forest. One of the flower domes of Gardens by the Bay.
Who have guessed that you can find cherry blossoms in tropical Singapore. With the temperatures under controlled, sakura together with tulips can be grown in the Flower Dome.
If you take your time for a walk in the Cloud Forest, chances are, you will enjoy your time there.
Clifford Pier brings many memories for me. I used to go there during lunch time when I was working in Singapore all those years ago. Today, it is part of the Fullerton Bay Hotel. A very expensive hotel that not many can afford. Yes! As the above photo shows, you & your friends can drop by and take some selfies to capture the Christmas Spirit at the Pier.
Spectra is a nightly laser, light & sound effects show put on by Marina Bay Sands. My advice - do not go too near as it is very loud & on a windy night with the wind blowing in the right direction, you are likely to get drenched.
The Art Science Museum of Marina Bay Sands is in the shape of a lotus flower. During iLight Marina Bay, you can expect to find light projections on it.
If you a re a fan of LV, you are in luck. You can take photos of the wonderful creations in this display in a LV store in Marina Bay Sands.
If you take a walk during a magical night in Marina Bay, you can see a beautiful scene of the high end hotels, a Singapore Flyer (ferris wheel) and the boats going by.
The first photo is taken from a balcony of Swissotel The Stamford. I found a painting of a similar scene at an exhibition in Ion Orchard.
If you have never been to the Christmas Wonderland at the Gardens by the Bay, I would recommend that you go at least once.
Orchard Road is not only famous as a shopping precinct but also for the Christmas lights that are displayed in the lead up to Christmas.
If you like things French, why not stay in SO Sofitel that is located next to Las Pa Sat. You will also get a chance to have some satay in the evening.
I like the lighting used in Westin Singapore. The first photo is taken in the lobby. And the second is taken in my bedroom together with  nice looking bath tub.
Christmas comes to Westin Singapore. Overall, the lobby is a nice bright place for guests of the hotel to sit down & relax.
